• Attenuator condition and whether it took any impact this shift
• Any open defects and whether the unit is safe to deploy
• Battery and charge state if the truck sat idle
• Board and lighting faults, even minor dead lamps

Job context to pass along

• Where the truck is staged or where it is headed next
• The active traffic control plan and posted speed
• Any near-miss or unusual traffic behavior worth flagging
• Location of the eligibility letter, re-cert docs, and spacing tables

Sign-off

• Outgoing operator name, time, and signature
• Incoming operator name, time, and acknowledgment of open items
• Supervisor notified of any unit taken out of service
