Inside the Heartland Fleet + Traffic Shop
Our North Texas shop is where a chassis becomes a compliant attenuator truck and where fleets get serviced. Doing the work under one roof keeps quality tight and turnaround short.
A lot of attenuator trucks pass through a chain of outside vendors before they reach the crew. We keep the work under one roof. Our North Texas shop handles the upfit, the mounting, the wiring, and the testing, alongside the fleet and traffic-safety service that keeps those trucks on the road.
Why one roof matters
When the upfit happens where the inspection happens, problems get caught before a truck goes out, not after it reaches a crew. Our team upfits, tests, and documents each unit against the MASH-2016 requirements, so the paperwork matches the truck exactly.
- Attenuator mounting and hydraulics fitted and cycle-tested
- Arrow and message boards wired and aimed
- Ballast and GVWR verified to prevent underride
- Final inspection against FHWA eligibility documentation
Sales, service, and upfit together
The same shop that upfits trucks also repairs and re-certifies them. We fit both the non-blade Scorpion and the 12-blade Blade, and we rebuild those units after a hit. Beyond attenuators, we handle fleet service, traffic-safety equipment, tractor and trailer work, and emergency-vehicle upfit for North Texas crews.
Selling, servicing, and upfitting in the same shop is why our turnaround stays short and our compliance paperwork stays clean.
