What Separates Quality Traffic Safety Products
Not every work-zone product holds up to a real impact or a long field season. These are the marks of equipment built to protect a crew and last.
Work-zone safety gear takes abuse. It sits in the sun, rides rough shoulders, and in the worst case absorbs a vehicle at highway speed. Quality shows up in whether the product does its job on that one bad day and keeps working through an ordinary season.
Crash performance you can document
For attenuators, quality starts with a paper trail. A MASH 2016 crash test and an FHWA eligibility letter mean the unit was hit under controlled conditions and passed. Without that documentation, a claim of compliance is just a claim. We only sell attenuators that carry current MASH eligibility.
Build details that outlast the warranty
- Chassis rated at roughly 26,000 lb GVWR or higher to prevent underride on impact
- Attenuator mounting hardware that survives repeated deploy and stow cycles
- Arrow boards and message signs wired to hold up in vibration and weather
- Corrosion protection on frames and fasteners exposed to road salt
A cheap truck that fails its purpose in a crash costs far more than the price you saved. Judge safety products by their worst-case performance, not their sticker price.
The other half of quality is service. A product is only as good as the shop standing behind it. We repair and re-certify what we sell, which keeps trucks compliant and on the road instead of parked waiting on parts.
